Danièle Magloire

Sociologist, one of the founders of a respected feminist platform. Expert on police structural and human rights issues.

Danièle Magloire has a background in social sciences, she has contributed to research and training and published articles. A defender of human rights, she is particularly attached to women's rights, demands for justice, and democratic development. A long-time feminist activist, she is a leader of the feminist organization “Kay Fanm” (Women's House), the National Concertation against Violence against Women.

She contributed to the creation of various women's rights organizations and was involved in other social movements. She helped introduce gender courses at the university. She contributed to the creation of Mouka, a documentary site on gender and the rights of Haitian women. She’s also the Vice-President of the council of administration of FOKAL (Knowledge and Freedom Foundation).
