Tamara Beliard Rodriguez

South Florida is home to Tamara Beliard Rodriguez entrepreneur, children’s book author, impact speaker and Haitian American maverick, blazing many trails locally, nationally and transnationally. Tamara, an accountant with over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance serves as CFO of the Fatima Group. As Chief Financial Officer, she is responsible for a conglomerate of thriving organizations across a wide range of industries including shipping and warehousing, tourism and media in Haiti, the US and the Caribbean.

Tamara B. Rodriguez is the influential owner of Island TV, a Miami based television network with over 25 years of on-air news and entertainment programing. Island TV boasts a South Florida viewership of over 400,000 households, and access to millions through its diverse digital platforms. Under Tamara’s leadership, Island TV now extends to 15 island markets throughout the Caribbean. Island TV’s programming serves as a platform to educate, inform, and engage Haitian Americans around civic, cultural, and political issues. It is an obligatory destination for all who seek political office , businesses and local institutions reaching out to Haitian Americans. Its premiere news program hosted by well trusted journalists, offers accurate and up-to date information focusing on Haiti, local and national reporting.

In addition to being an impactful and innovative business leader, Tamara actively contributes to her community through service. Sant La, Haitian Neighborhood Center a social service agency serving over 17,000 Haitian clients a year, benefits from Tamara’s role as board member and key fundraiser.

She is also an engaged board member of Junior Achievement of South Florida, a game-changing national organization which prepares young people for the real world through financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs.

She is extremely proud of the role she plays as a member of the Latin American and Caribbean Business Forum for the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center (LACC). The Forum offers Tamara the opportunity to strengthen her relationship with influential Caribbean business leaders across the industries.

As a Haitian American Tamara’s experiences as a business and philanthropic leader, have taught her the importance of political engagement. She understands that when communities fail to participate in the electoral process, they suffer from neglect and invisibility. Consequently, she plays an active role in local and national electoral politics and issue campaigns. She was a co-founder and active member of Haitians for Biden in 2020.

Her deep concerns for her beloved Haiti, have compelled her to seek solutions grounded in her belief that a strong Haitian American Diaspora will have the power and the influence to shape and improve US policies in Haiti. She co-founded the Haitian American Foundation for Democracy to advocate for policies that foster democracy, human rights, economic development and inclusion in both Haiti and the US.
