MAGALI COMEAU DENIS
Magali Comeau Denis, coordinator of the Commission for a Haitian Solution and member of the BSA (Bureau de Suivi de l’Accord de Montana), delegated to the Commission by the Collectif des Artistes Engagés (KATAN). A law graduate from the Faculty of Law and Economics of Port au Prince, UEH; a theater artist, and an activist, she has been and remains part of all the struggles against dictatorship and for the establishment of democracy in Haiti. Minister of Culture and Communication of the Democratic Transition Government (2004-2006), she was also, during this period, a member of the Commission for the negotiation with demobilized soldiers and a member of the Commission for the support of the Provisional Electoral Council, CACEP.
Magali Comeau Denis is involved in social work, notably as a founding member and president of the Aquin Solidarity Foundation (FAS), and as a member of the Community Development Network (RCD). She was also a founding member, coordinator, and spokesperson for the group "Non! Collectif d'Artistes et d'Intellectuels pour la Défense des Libertés en Haïti."
